Programmes, Projects and Events

Audio transcript

We’ll move into the Projects and Events section of your CRM now, which is the place to store all of your activity. This section is designed with a hierarchical structure; programmes contain a group of projects, and events then sit within those projects.

It is possible to have Projects that don’t belong to a program or events that don’t belong to a project though, if your activity as an organisation doesn’t quite fit into this hierarchy!

Details for your programmes, projects and events can be added or edited using a GoodCRM form, and unlimited custom fields can be configured to store any data you may need about each type of data.

Taking a look at this programme, you can see any funding that is linked to the program if you have the Fundraising Add-on installed to your CRM, and we can see anything else connected to this programme too.

Within our programme we have various projects, which can be easily moved between programmes if we need to move things around.

Taking a look at an event, we’re able to store any details through custom fields which have been configured here, but we also have a participants register built in. The ‘Attendance’ tab allows CRM users or tutors to mark our participants as either attended or absent. This allows us to generate an attendance record, which is stored on this individual’s timeline, and also allows us to do more in depth reporting about your audience activity through Segments, which we’ll come to later.

Finally, events can be split up into different sub-sections called Activities, for example AM or PM sessions for a type of event.
